Ingredients

The Beef

  • 3 lb round raw boneless round roast of beef, lean and trimmed of visible fat

The Sauce

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Place the beef in the slow cooker, cutting it into pieces if necessary.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over the beef.
  3. Turn the slow cooker to low and cover it.
  4. Cook for 7-8 hours.
  5. Remove the meat to a platter and shred it using a fork.
  6. Serve with jus spooned over the top.
