Ingredients

The beef

  • 1 3-4 pound boneless roast beef chuck or round roast

The sauce

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Place the roast beef in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. In a measuring cup, mix the beef broth, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, and chopped garlic.
  3. 3. Pour the sauce over the roast beef.
  4. 4. Set the slow cooker to cook for 5-7 hours on high or 8-10 hours on low.
  5. 5. Once cooked, remove the roast and shred it using two forks.
  6. 6. Ladle additional gravy or pan sauce over the shredded beef before serving.
