Instructions
- Let the meat rest at room temperature and season with salt.
- Sear the beef in a hot skillet until golden brown.
- Transfer the beef to the slow cooker and deglaze the pan with some beef broth.
- Combine the seasoning ingredients and sprinkle over the beef.
- Add the pepperoncini and giardiniera to the slow cooker.
- Pour in the remaining beef broth and cover.
- Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours until the meat shreds easily.
- Shred the beef and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Toast the hoagie buns in the oven.
- Fill the buns with shredded beef, cheese, and additional toppings as desired.
