Ingredients

The chicken and marinade

  • 1 lb. Boneless Chicken Breast
  • 2 large Organic Brown Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Sriracha Sauce
  • tsp. Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp. Paprika

The coating

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. Creole Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp. Ground Thyme
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cumin
  • ¼ tsp. Onion Powder
  • ¼ tsp. Himalayan Salt

The sauce

  • cup Mayo
  • 1 tbsp. Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. Yellow Mustard
  • ¼ tsp. Black Pepper
  • ¼ tsp. Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp. Oregano

The sandwich

  • 2 pieces Pretzel Buns
  • to taste Tomato Slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Split and cut each chicken breast in half.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Sriracha, black pepper, and paprika. Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil in a pan to medium heat.
  4. In a zip lock bag, combine flour, cornstarch, and remaining seasonings. Shake to mix.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and coat in the flour mixture.
  6. Fry the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. In a bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by placing fried chicken between pretzel buns, adding tomato slices, and topping with sauce.
