Instructions
- Mix the starter, salt, and water in a bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and mix until incorporated, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Perform a series of folds every 30 minutes for the first two hours.
- Let the dough rise at room temperature for 4 to 18 hours until it nearly doubles in size.
- Grease a loaf pan with butter and transfer the dough into it.
- Let the dough rise until it crowns the rim of the pan, about 5 to 6 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 425ºF and bake for 20 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to 375ºF and bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes until golden.
