Parmesan Asparagus

Ingredients

The asparagus

  • 10 oz young asparagus

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

The cheese

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Trim ½ inch off the bottom of the asparagus stems and discard the trimmings.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  3. Sauté the garlic until slightly browned, then add the asparagus.
  4. Toss to combine the asparagus with the garlic.
  5. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste, and stir to combine.
  6. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the asparagus and cover the skillet.
  7. Cook for about 1 minute, or until the cheese begins to melt.
  8. Dish out and serve immediately.
