Instructions
- Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Add onions, bay leaves, and celery, cooking until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Add ground turkey, 1 teaspoon of salt, and pepper, cooking until done.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a slow cooker.
- Add all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and mix well.
- Cook on Low for 7-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
- Taste and adjust salt or seasonings as needed.
- Serve with corn bread and any desired toppings.
