Instructions
- Whisk together the egg yolks and melted butter in a bowl, then add water and mix well.
- In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the egg yolk mixture and mix until combined.
- Switch to the dough hook and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until soft, adding more flour if necessary.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 60–70 minutes.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, knead by hand, and cut into 6 equal pieces. Let rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll each piece into a 10-inch log and tie into a knot. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the knots with beaten egg white and let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and shiny. Serve warm.
