Ingredients

The vegetables

  • ½ large onion
  • 2 pieces bell peppers

The seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced onion and bell peppers to the skillet.
  3. Sprinkle chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper over the vegetables and toss to coat.
  4. Cook while stirring occasionally for 4 to 8 minutes until the edges are browned and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. For softer vegetables, reduce heat and continue cooking until desired doneness.
  6. For very soft vegetables, add about ¼ cup of water and cook until the water evaporates and the veggies are soft.
