Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup chili sauce or Asian red sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tamari sauce or coconut aminos
  • ½ cup honey
  • 4 teaspoons rice wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons arrowroot starch or cornstarch
  • 1 ½ tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine pineapple juice, chili sauce, tamari (or coconut aminos), honey, and rice vinegar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir and cook until the mixture boils.
  3. Mix the arrowroot starch with cold water in a small bowl, then add to the saucepan.
  4. Whisk until the starch is fully incorporated and the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool before serving.
