Ingredients

The base

  • 6 large dates, pitted & soaked overnight
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup cashew butter (or almond butter, peanut butter, or sunflower seed butter)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

The mix-ins

  • ¾ cup dairy free chocolate chips
  • 2-3 tablespoons non-dairy milk (optional, to thin out)

Instructions

  1. Soak the dates overnight, then discard the water and remove the pits.
  2. In a food processor, add the dates, chickpeas, cashew butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
  3. Blend until you achieve a creamy texture.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, add non-dairy milk to thin it out.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in the chocolate chips.
  6. Top with additional sea salt flakes and enjoy!
