Ingredients

The main mixture

  • 10 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 6 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ cup almond butter
  • ¼ cup unflavored pea protein powder
  • ¼ - ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

The optional mix-ins

  • 2-4 tablespoons crushed candy canes or cacao nibs
  • 2-4 tablespoons dairy free chocolate chips
  • 2-4 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except for the candy canes or cacao nibs, chocolate chips, and water in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add water slowly if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Mix in the candy canes or cacao nibs and chocolate chips.
  4. Chill the mixture in the fridge for a while.
  5. Roll the mixture into balls and optionally top with more crushed candy canes.
