Ingredients

The pasta

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni or cellentani pasta

The lobster

  • 16 oz lobster meat
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning

The sauce

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2-3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
  • ½ cup shredded parmigiano reggiano
  • 1 spray cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, add lobster and Old Bay seasoning, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter, whisk in flour to create a roux.
  5. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, then stir in half of the shredded cheese until melted.
  6. Season the cheese sauce with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta, cheese sauce, and lobster in a large pot.
  8. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and layer the pasta mixture with remaining shredded cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-45 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
