  • 1 Medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 6 Medium Crimini Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Mustard
  • A few dashes Hot Sauce
  • 1 lb Pasta (macaroni, gemelli, penne, shells, etc.)
  • 3 cups Broth or Water
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded

Optional ingredients

  • ½ cup Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. 1. Sauté olive oil in the Instant Pot.
  2. 2. Add ground meat and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3. Stir in chopped onion, minced garlic, and butter, scraping the bottom.
  4. 4. Add sliced mushrooms, seasoned salt, kosher salt, black pepper, ground mustard, and hot sauce; mix well.
  5. 5. Incorporate pasta, broth or water, and milk, ensuring pasta is covered.
  6. 6. Cancel sauté mode and seal the pot.
  7. 7. Set to pressure cook for 4 minutes.
  8. 8. Perform a quick release of steam when cooking is complete.
  9. 9. Stir in cheeses and heavy cream if using, allowing them to melt.
  10. 10. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
