Ingredients

The ravioli

  • 22 ounces frozen cheese ravioli

The sauce

  • ½ cup Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallot
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped basil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • cup shredded Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • optional extra basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil a large pot of water with a pinch of salt and cook the ravioli according to package instructions, then drain.
  2. 2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add the minced shallot and cook until tender, about 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and chopped basil, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Combine the cooked ravioli in a serving bowl and pour the lemon basil butter sauce over it, stirring gently.
  7. 7. Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese and extra basil if desired, then serve immediately.
