Ingredients

Streusel

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Pumpkin Donuts

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground ginger
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • pinch ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cup pumpkin puree
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup milk

Glaze

  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until clumps form, then refrigerate.
  3. Melt butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  5. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, egg, milk, and slightly cooled melted butter, whisking until well combined.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture and stir until just mixed.
  7. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe into the prepared donut pan, filling rings ¾ full to make 6 donuts.
  8. Crumble the refrigerated streusel over the top of the batter.
  9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool the donuts in the pan until cool enough to handle, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  11. Whisk together powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of milk, and vanilla for the glaze, adding more milk until pourable.
  12. Drizzle the glaze over the donuts and allow to set for 5 minutes before serving.
