Easy Healthy Teriyaki Sauce

For thickening (optional)

cold water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except for sesame seeds in a small saucepan and whisk on medium heat.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 to 6 minutes while whisking continuously until it thickens.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce after removing from heat.
- Stir in sesame seeds and enjoy the sauce warm or let it cool before storing.
