Grilled Peaches with Basil

Ingredients

The peaches

  • 4 pieces fresh peaches, with skin, cut in half, pit removed

The marinade

  • 1 ½ tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil

For garnish

  • to taste fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Place peaches in a baking dish with the cavity facing up.
  2. Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, agave nectar, and chopped basil, then drizzle over the peaches and marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill and place the peaches on it, cavity facing up, grilling for 3 minutes.
  4. Turn the peaches over, brush with the remaining marinade, and grill for another 3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
