Ingredients

  • cups cooked cannellini beans
  • 1 cup smoked almonds
  • ½ cup tahini paste
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp smoked chipotle powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Use a tamper to push ingredients into the blades and scrape the sides as needed.
  4. Add more water if the hummus is too firm, a few tablespoons at a time.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with sesame oil and chopped smoked almonds if desired.
  6. Serve with fresh vegetables, tortillas, or pita bread.
