Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season both sides of the chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken in a skillet or grill over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes per side until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into strips.
- Spread mayonnaise and pesto on the bread slices.
- Layer the chicken, sliced tomatoes, and Swiss cheese on the bread.
- Brush the outsides of the sandwiches with olive oil or mayonnaise.
- Toast the sandwiches in a skillet until both sides are golden and the cheese is melted.
