Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • teaspoon ground anise
  • a pinch salt
  • cup white chocolate chips

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup creamy cashew butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients (except white chocolate chips) in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and then add the remaining wet ingredients.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the baking dish, spread it evenly, and sprinkle with white chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let the bars cool for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
