Instructions
- Preheat the cast iron on the grill and melt ¼ stick of butter.
- Slice the bananas, coat them in the butter, and sprinkle brown sugar on them, cooking on low flame until caramelized.
- Remove the bananas and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all wet ingredients and mix well.
- Add cubed bread to the mixture, ensuring it's fully soaked.
- Incorporate the bananas, reserving a few for topping.
- Butter the cast iron and pour the mixture in, placing remaining bananas on top and sprinkling more brown sugar.
- Grill on the lowest temperature area covered with aluminum foil for about an hour.
- Uncover and cook on medium to high heat for the last 10 minutes to create a crust.
- Serve warm with ice cream and/or whipped cream.
