Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole spaghetti squash
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese

Optional Toppings

  • to taste shredded lettuce
  • to taste pickles
  • to taste Thousand Island dressing
  • to taste ketchup
  • to taste mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Slice the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. Brush the inside of the squash with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the squash face down on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes until easily shredded.
  5. Once cooked, shred the squash into a large bowl.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the ground beef until browned, then drain and add to the bowl with the squash.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the mixture and transfer it to a small casserole dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the dish is heated through.
  9. Top with optional toppings like lettuce, pickles, or sauces before serving.
