Almond Chocolate Cherry Scones

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine the whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and blend to mix.
- Add the butter pieces to the food processor and pulse until combined and resembling small peas.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg, then add this mixture to the food processor and pulse until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently fold in the cherries and chocolate chips.
- Shape the dough into a large disc and cut it into 8 triangular pieces.
- Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart, and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes, then let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
