Ingredients

  • ½ cup diced bacon
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • to taste none Kosher salt
  • to taste none Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 small head Napa cabbage, sliced crosswise into ½ inch pieces
  • ¼ cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. 1. Assemble and prep your ingredients.
  2. 2. Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium heat and add the bacon, cooking until crispy.
  3. 3. Add the onions and season with salt and pepper, cooking until translucent.
  4. 4. Once the onions are softened, add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper, sautéing until moisture has cooked off.
  5. 5. Toss in the Napa cabbage and pour in the chicken broth, mixing everything together.
  6. 6. Cover the skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 5-10 minutes until the cabbage is softened.
