Fried Cabbage with Bacon

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 1 large Sweet onion (sliced into thin half moons)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 large head Cabbage (shredded)

Seasonings

  • 1 ½ tsp Sea salt (to taste)
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large, cold skillet over medium heat until browned, flipping halfway through.
  2. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the grease behind.
  3. Add the onion to the pan and fry until browned.
  4. Create a well in the center of the pan, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add shredded cabbage to the pan, season with salt, paprika, and pepper, then cover and cook until tender.
  6. Chop or crumble the bacon and stir it back into the pan with the cabbage.
