Cabbage Steaks

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 1 head Cabbage
  • 8 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a pan until crispy, then set aside and keep the bacon fat.
  2. Slice the cabbage into 3/4-inch thick slices.
  3. In a plastic bag, mix olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the bacon fat and sautéed garlic to the marinade and mix well.
  5. Coat the cabbage steaks in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium heat and grill the cabbage steaks for 4-8 minutes on each side.
  7. Alternatively, preheat the oven to 425°F, arrange the cabbage on a baking sheet, and roast for 30-35 minutes.
