Ingredients

The cabbage

  • 1 head green cabbage

The seasoning

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Optional garnishes

  • to taste minced fresh parsley
  • to taste fresh lemon wedges
  • to taste crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix olive oil and pressed garlic in a bowl, then strain to remove garlic pieces.
  3. Add marjoram to the oil mixture and brush it onto both sides of the cabbage wedges, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Roast the cabbage for 15 minutes, then flip and roast for another 10 to 15 minutes until tender.
  5. Garnish with parsley, lemon, or bacon if desired, and serve warm.
