Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a jelly roll pan.
- Chill the crust until ready to fill.
- Prepare the crumb topping by mixing sugars, oats, flour, and salt, then cutting in the butter until crumbly.
- Refrigerate the topping.
- Make the apple filling by whisking together sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and then with the sugar mixture.
- Assemble the pie by spreading the apple filling over the crust and topping it with the crumb mixture.
- Bake for 33-38 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Let the pie cool slightly before serving, optionally drizzling with glaze or serving with vanilla ice cream.
