Ingredients

The chai mix

  • 3-4 pieces cinnamon sticks
  • 1-2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 10 pieces whole cloves
  • to taste none freshly cracked pepper
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ cup honey

The milk

  • 4 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Combine the cinnamon sticks, ginger, cloves, cracked pepper, and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, add the black tea bags, and let steep for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea into a bowl using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. Whisk in the vanilla, honey, and turmeric into the strained tea.
  6. To serve, heat 8oz. of milk and combine with 8oz. of the Golden Chai tea mix.
