Chai Concentrate

Ingredients

  • 4 bags black tea
  • 4 small sticks cinnamon
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 10 whole cloves
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil four cups of water in a medium pot.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, tea bags, whole cloves, and sliced ginger to the pot.
  3. Boil for five minutes, then reduce heat and simmer.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the mixture to remove the tea bags and spices.
  5. While still hot, stir in the sugar and vanilla.
  6. Store the chai concentrate in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  7. To serve, mix one part chai concentrate with one part milk, heat, and enjoy.
