Homemade Chai Tea

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 8 whole cardamom pods
  • 6 whole peppercorns
  • 1 bag peppermint tea

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pot and place on stove over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, then turn down and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain into mugs.
  4. Serve piping hot with agave and almond milk if desired.
