Iced Ginger Chai

Ingredients

The chai mixture

  • 2 quarts water
  • ½ cup finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 10 pieces cardamom pods
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 10 whole peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ¼ cup organic loose rooibos tea

For serving

  • ¼ cup Almond Milk
  • to taste stevia or honey

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil.
  2. 2. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Allow the mixture to cool for 3 hours.
  4. 4. Strain the mixture into a one-quart mason jar using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. 5. Fill each glass with ice, add 1 cup of the chai mixture, and ¼ cup of Almond Milk.
  6. 6. Sweeten with stevia or honey if desired.
  7. 7. Serve chilled.
