The base layer

pecans, roughly chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and coat it with oil.
- In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, almond butter, coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt, mixing well.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
- In a small pan, combine coconut cream, honey, and vanilla extract, stirring frequently and simmering for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Layer chocolate chips, shredded coconut, sliced almonds, and pecans over the shortbread layer in the baking dish.
- Pour the cooled caramel sauce over the layered ingredients and press down with a spatula.
- Sprinkle additional chocolate chips and shredded coconut on top.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Cool the bars in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing into 12 squares.
