Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot and sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until the onions are lightly cooked.
- Add the ground beef and brown it, stirring continuously to break up the meat.
- Once the meat is browned, add the seasonings and mix well.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and all the beans, combining all ingredients thoroughly.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the chili cook for 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- If the chili becomes too thick, add water to reach the desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more chili powder or cayenne for heat, or brown sugar for sweetness.
