Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp

  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1-2 tablespoons cooking oil

The garlic cream sauce

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¾-1 cup chicken broth
  • ¾-1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for serving lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Whisk together Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and the spice mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side, then transfer to a plate.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic and Italian seasoning until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the skillet.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Season sauce with salt and pepper, then add sun-dried tomatoes and spinach, simmering until spinach wilts.
  8. Return shrimp to the skillet and heat for 1-2 minutes, adjusting seasonings as needed.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges.
