Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 12 oz shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail-on

The sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • to taste parsley, chopped, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and butter.
  2. 2. Sauté the minced garlic until aromatic.
  3. 3. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 minute, stirring.
  4. 4. Pour in the chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, mirin (if using), cayenne pepper, and salt.
  5. 5. Once the sauce bubbles, add the lemon juice and stir to combine.
  6. 6. Turn off the heat and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. 7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
