Instructions
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes until just opaque, then flip and cook for another minute.
- Transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, melt the butter, and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine and reduce the liquid by half.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
- Add the parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
- Serve immediately over optional sides.
