Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and toss with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Boil salted water and cook the pasta until al dente, reserving 1-2 cups of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil, then cook half the shrimp until pink and cooked through, then set aside.
- Repeat with the remaining shrimp.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Whisk milk with cornstarch (if using) and add to the skillet, letting it bubble and thicken.
- Add salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
- Add the shrimp back into the skillet and combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.
