Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat (350F-375F).
- Sprinkle salt and pepper inside the cavity of the trout.
- Stuff the trout with fresh herbs and optional aromatics like lemon, garlic, and onion.
- Season the outside of the trout with more salt and pepper.
- Optionally brush the skin with olive oil.
- Place the trout on the grill and close the lid.
- Cook until the skin is crispy and the flesh turns opaque, about 5-10 minutes per side depending on thickness.
- Carefully flip the trout when ready and continue cooking until fully cooked through.
- Transfer the grilled trout to a serving plate and serve.
