Crispy Baked Garlic Matchstick Fries

Ingredients

The fries

  • 3-4 medium russet potatoes
  • ¼ cup olive or avocado oil
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

The garlic topping

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary (optional, roughly chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Chop the potatoes into matchsticks.
  3. Line two baking sheets with foil or parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.
  4. Add the fries to the baking sheets and drizzle with oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat.
  5. Arrange the fries in a single layer without touching each other.
  6. Bake for 25-35 minutes, flipping once for even cooking.
  7. In the last 10 minutes, sauté minced garlic in olive oil until slightly brown.
  8. Remove fries from the oven, sprinkle with sea salt, and toss with the sautéed garlic.
  9. Serve immediately, optionally with Whiskey BBQ Ketchup.
