Ingredients

The greens and herbs

  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 2 cups packed kale

The nuts and seeds

  • 3 Tbsp sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, or brazil nuts

The flavorings

  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 1-2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3-4 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ΒΌ tsp sea salt

The liquids

  • 2-3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or water)
  • 3-6 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Add the basil, parsley, kale, nuts/seeds, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt to a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend on high until a loose paste forms.
  3. Slowly add olive oil (or water) while blending until reaching the desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust flavors as needed by adding more nutritional yeast, salt, seeds, garlic, or lemon juice.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
