Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter or olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • cups vegetable broth
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the vegan butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour until fully incorporated and no lumps remain, cooking for about 2 minutes.
  3. Slowly add the vegetable broth while whisking constantly until smooth.
  4. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  5. Allow the gravy to simmer on low heat for 2 to 8 minutes, depending on desired thickness.
  6. Remove from heat and serve over your chosen dish.
