Vegan Gravy with Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ red onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups plant-based milk, plain, unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan and add onion and garlic, sautéing for 9 minutes.
  2. Whip together the plant-based milk, flour, black pepper, and soy sauce in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the pan with onions and garlic, and cook, stirring frequently, for about 8 minutes until bubbly and thick.
