Ingredients

  • 8 ounces baby bella mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ½ medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons fresh sage, chopped
  • to taste fresh ground black pepper
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until aromatic.
  4. Sprinkle in the flour and cook until lightly browned, stirring to combine.
  5. Slowly whisk in the vegetable broth, adding it gradually.
  6. Add soy sauce, sage, and black pepper, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  7. Simmer until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency.
