Ingredients

  • ½ tablespoon olive or coconut oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped finely
  • ½ onion diced finely
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free flour (coconut flour recommended)
  • cups vegetable broth
  • ½ cup Silk Almondmilk
  • 1 teaspoon liquid aminos or gluten free soy sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped mushrooms, onions, minced garlic, and thyme; cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms have softened, about 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, allowing it to brown slightly.
  4. 4. Add the vegetable broth and Silk Almondmilk, stir, and increase heat to medium-high.
  5. 5. Allow the mixture to simmer until thickened, stirring occasionally for about 2 to 4 minutes.
  6. 6. If using, add the liquid aminos; remove from heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
