Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 16 ounces refried beans
  • 4 ounces green chiles, drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wraps

  • 2 to 3 cups Mexican-style shredded cheese
  • 8 to 10 pieces 8- or 10-inch tortillas
  • as needed cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until no longer pink, then drain excess grease.
  2. In a bowl, combine refried beans, green chiles, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt, then mix in the cooked beef and onions.
  3. For each wrap, sprinkle cheese over the tortilla and add filling in a wide strip down the center.
  4. Fold the tortilla over the filling, pressing lightly to flatten.
  5. Spray the seam side with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  6. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and place wraps seam-side down, cooking until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Flip the wraps and cook the other side until crispy and the filling is hot.
