Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 package prepackaged pizza dough
  • cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • cups shredded gouda cheese
  • ½ cup sliced thin red onion
  • to taste cilantro for topping

Instructions

  1. Form the pizza dough into the desired shape on a floured surface and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill to high and grease the grates.
  3. Cook the dough on the grill for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
  4. Flip the dough so the grilled side is up and spread ½ cup of BBQ sauce over it, then add half of each cheese.
  5. Mix the remaining BBQ sauce with the shredded chicken and spread it over the pizza.
  6. Layer the red onion slices on top and add the remaining cheese.
  7. Return the pizza to the grill for another 4-5 minutes until the crust is cooked and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the grill, add cilantro, and let it rest before cutting.
