- Wash the rice thoroughly until the washing water becomes clear.
- Drain the washing water completely.
- If using a rice cooker, add the washed rice and water, then follow the rice cooker's instructions.
- If using a clay pot or cast iron cooker, add the washed rice and equal amount of water, cover with a lid, and heat over high until boiling.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low-medium and cook for 15 minutes without opening the lid.
- Turn off the heat and let the rice sit for an additional 10 minutes.
- Open the lid and turn the rice gently from the bottom.
