Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 1.5 cups water
  • ΒΌ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice using a fine wire mesh strainer.
  2. Add the rice, salt, and water to a saucepot.
  3. Cover the pot and bring the water to a full boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the rice simmer for 15 minutes without lifting the lid or stirring.
  5. After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let the rice rest for an additional 5 minutes without lifting the lid.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
